QC Laboratory Analyst Location:
Pasadena, TX Employment Type:
Full-Time |
Direct Hire Pay:
$28-$36/hour (based on experience) Company Overview Our client is an established global manufacturer of polymer-based materials with operations in the Houston area for over 40 years. Their Pasadena facility produces and distributes high-quality polymer products used across a variety of industrial applications. They are seeking an experienced QC Laboratory Analyst to join their team and support quality testing operations within their manufacturing laboratory. Position Summary The QC Laboratory Analyst is responsible for performing routine analytical testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. This position requires prior laboratory experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment and the ability to perform testing, document results, and maintain laboratory equipment independently. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control testing on raw materials and finished products
  • Conduct analytical tests including:
  • Appearance
  • Moisture
  • Flow Rate
  • Density
  • pH
  • Color
CSR / FSR
  • Particle Size Distribution (PSD)
  • Odor
  • Prepare chemical reagents and solutions for laboratory testing
  • Perform and document instrument calibration, including pH meters and other analytical equipment
  • Evaluate results against customer and internal specifications
  • Report and document out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Accurately record laboratory data in written and digital formats
  • Ensure proper release of incoming raw materials and assist with proper material handling or disposal
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of QC or analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial laboratory
  • Experience performing routine analytical testing on raw materials and finished products
  • Experience with instrument calibration and laboratory documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established laboratory procedures
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing lab
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field
  • Experience working in chemical, polymer, plastics, or industrial manufacturing laboratories Compensation & Benefits
