Job Description

Leadership Must have a minimum of 5-10 years experience in supervision of a quality department. Must have a proven record leading and developing people Leadership skills, assertiveness, initiative, planning/organizing and follow-up monitoring Develops departmental bench strength through personnel development Provide guidance and develop accountability system to ensure that all SOP's and process controls are followed Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Communication Experience relaying sensitive information to appropriate parties. Keeps customers, superiors, peers and direct reports updated based on their information needs Is an articulate speaker in a variety of settings. Easily adjusts the message to match the audience. Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions. Makes effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities. Lead and encourage continuous improvement efforts. Works across departments to identify and implement specific quality initiatives Involve managers, supervisors and employee teams in continuous improvement efforts Coordinate development of written communication including standard operating procedures and work instructions Comfortable speaking to audiences Experience/Skills Six Sigma Green Belt Must be capable of implementing process controls that validate and insure that procedures are followed Skilled at completing audits of manufacturing floor for compliance to standards Investigate quality errors, internal and external, and issue corrective action Assure that SOP's are created, trained, enforced and audited. Experience of ISO Requirements is a must. Analyze current processes to identify and prioritize opportunities that would result in improved service to customers and/or improve productivity/efficiency Develop (and/or sustain), communicate and monitor quality tracking systems Identify, specify, document and implement manufacturing best practices methods, procedures, tooling and equipment required to support operations. Experience with PPAP process up to level 4. Extensive knowledge of GD&T is a must.
