Fullerton, CA (On-site) Position Summary The Coffee Program Manager is a senior individual contributor responsible for building and owning our coffee platform across three pillars: Green Coffee Sourcing & Roasting Coffee Quality Control (QC) & Cross-Functional Communication Bulk Extract Internal Sales & Program Coordination This is a builder role focused on creating systems-not just executing tasks-ensuring that coffee is optimized from green input through final extracted product . Core Responsibilities 1. Green Coffee Sourcing & Roasting (Primary Focus) Own green coffee sourcing strategy: Supplier relationships and origin selection Cost optimization and quality targeting Forecasting and inventory planning Lead roast development specifically for extraction performance Optimize for solubility, yield, and flavor consistency Establish and maintain roast profiles across products and SKUs Improve roast repeatability and batch consistency Build systems for: Green evaluation and intake Roast logging and performance tracking Partner with extraction team to: Align roast profiles with production metrics (TDS, yield, etc.) Identify and resolve upstream performance issues 2. Coffee Quality Control (QC) & Communication Own quality of extracted coffee across: Lab testing Production floor Finished product Define and enforce: Sensory standards Analytical targets and consistency metrics Approve/reject product based on quality standards Lead root-cause analysis across: Green coffee Roasting Extraction Serve as the communication hub between: Production Sales Management Clients Drive rapid problem-solving when quality deviates 3. Bulk Extract Internal Sales & Program Management Initiate, manage, and coordinate bulk extract orders Conduct outbound outreach to develop new accounts (Commission eligible for accounts gained through outreach) Translate customer needs into: Clear specs Production-ready requirements Coordinate execution across:
Production Quality Operations Own:
Order intake Internal alignment Customer communication Delivery coordination Support pricing discussions and program structuring Qualifications Required 5-10+ years in: Coffee roasting Green coffee sourcing Strong understanding of: Extraction performance (TDS, yield, solubility) Proven ability to troubleshoot process + quality issues Strong communication skills across technical and commercial teams Preferred Experience in concentrates or bulk extract programs Co-packing or manufacturing experience Sensory expertise Compensation Competitive base salary Commission on bulk extract accounts acquired through outreach Why This Role You will build a system where: Inputs are engineered correctly (green + roast) Quality is owned, not inspected Coffee becomes a scalable, high-performance platform
