Position Overview Advanced Fabrication Technology is seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Manager to lead and strengthen our quality function within a precision sheet metal manufacturing environment. This position requires a practical leader who understands manufacturing processes and can work effectively with customers, suppliers, leadership, and production personnel. The successful candidate will help build a culture in which quality is understood and owned throughout the organization—not simply inspected at the end of production. Key Responsibilities Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements Manage internal, customer, and supplier quality issues Lead root-cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities Maintain quality documentation, calibration systems, and inspection records Track quality performance and drive measurable improvements Support customer audits, quality reviews, and technical communications Partner with engineering, production, purchasing, and company leadership Develop and train employees on quality procedures and expectations Reduce scrap, rework, customer escapes, and recurring quality problems Promote accountability and quality awareness across the organization Preferred Qualifications Quality management or senior quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in precision sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, painting, assembly, or a related manufacturing process Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T, inspection methods, and measurement equipment Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous-improvement methods Working knowledge of
ISO 9001
; AS9100 experience is a plus Experience supporting customer and third-party quality audits Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate confidently with customers, suppliers, management, and shop-floor employees Willingness to be hands-on and actively engaged in day-to-day manufacturing operations
Pay:
$93,826.08 - $112,994.85 per year
