Job Description

Position Summary:
Directs and coordinates the activities and day to day operations of the Quality Control Department. Supervises Quality Control personnel to ensure their compliance to established company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the printed circuit industry. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required Skills:
General Ability to: 1. Speak, read and write English fluently. 2. Comprehend industry standards, customer specifications, designated reference materials and their appropriate application. 3. Work independently with minimal supervision. 4. Work under pressure with time constraints. 5. Operate company-designated software, word processor, email, and database. 6. Complete employee time cards. 7. Perform general math calculations, and understand Statistical Quality Control techniques. 8. Effectively communicate, build and motivate cooperative working relationships with in the Quality Department, Supervisory Staff, and Management. 9. Effectively follow company systems and procedures.
Supervisory Ability to:
1. Interviewing, and hiring prospective new employees. 2. Train employees in company systems, policies, and procedures. 3. Plan, assign, and direct work efforts of the Quality Control department personnel. 4. Perform effective performance appraisals of Quality Control department personnel. 5. Participate in reward or discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve employee-related problems.
Responsibilities:
1. Train Quality Control department personnel in company systems, policies, and applicable procedures. 2. Ensure compliance to company policies, systems, and procedures. 3. Efficient utilization of the Quality Control department personnel. 4. Organize, prioritize work, and schedule time to accommodate work demands, turn-around time and company commitments. 5. Provide Quality Control department personnel with necessary supplies. 6. Enforce company attendance policy with Quality Control department personnel.
