Quality Control Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support construction activities at the Pentagon and surrounding areas in the DC/NOVA region. This role involves reporting to leadership in the Chantilly, VA office and is responsible for implementing and enforcing the project Quality Control (QC) program to ensure all work complies with contract requirements, safety standards, and Navy/NAVFAC specifications. The ideal candidate has strong experience in federal or military construction projects, is detail-oriented, and can effectively coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage the project Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan. Ensure compliance with NAVFAC, USACE, and project-specific contract requirements. Conduct and document Three-Phase Inspections (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up). Prepare and submit daily QC reports, inspection logs, and deficiency tracking. Coordinate QC activities with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Safety team. Review and approve submittals, material certifications, and shop drawings. Interface directly with Government QC, CORs, and inspectors. Verify testing requirements are met and properly documented. Identify, document, and track deficiencies and corrective actions. Ensure work complies with EM 385-1-1, project safety plans, and quality standards. Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related updates. Essential Skills 10 years of construction experience. 5 years as a Quality Control Manager.
USACE/NAVFAC
Quality Control Manager (QCM) Certification. Strong working knowledge of NAVFAC specifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on active military installations. Proficient with project documentation, reporting, and scheduling coordination. Ability to obtain and maintain base access for the Pentagon and/or Quantico Base. Work Environment This is an on-site role at an active Navy installation, requiring coordination with multiple stakeholders including company leadership and Government personnel. The work environment is fast-paced and compliance-driven, typical of a construction setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
