100k +10% Prefer Science/Technical based Degree Food / Bakery experienceSummary:
Responsible for quality systems and procedures, food safety programs, regulatory affairs. Implement and oversee plant product quality improvement and proactive initiatives and quality measurement programs. Responsible for programs involving product/ingredient specifications, web based information systems, product cuttings, quality audits and customer complaints. 1.0 Position Responsibilities / Objectives 1.1 This is a safety-required position in which the employee is responsible for his or her own or other people's safety in a manufacturing environment. Safety performance and consciousness requires full, uninterrupted, unbiased, cognitive ability and behavior. 1.2 Responsible for Food Safety 1.3 Responsible for Food Quality 1.4 Responsible for reporting food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. 1.5 Work well and cooperate with other members of the line/department and provide good teamwork. 1.6 Be in the correct position on time and ready to work. 1.7 Be sure to be present in proper uniforms with correct Personal Protective Equipment requirements. 1.8 Take a proactive approach in the development and continuous improvement of plant quality performance. 1.9 Participate in selection of best practice processes for food safety and quality systems. 1.10 Provide and make changes to quality procedures/systems as necessary. 1.11 Manage the QA laboratory techs. 1.12 Manage and maintain the auditing of all quality parameters within the facility including incoming supplier specifications, production, warehousing, shipping, etc. 1.13 Conduct mock recalls and traceability at least 2x/year. 1.14 Conduct HACCP audits and participate on the HACCP team. Conduct HACCP meetings. 1.15 Monitor all plant paperwork for compliance, as needed and applicable. 1.16 Conduct product audits (cuttings). 1.17 Conduct internal monthly GMP & Safety audits of the entire plant. 1.18 Handle and follow-up with customer complaints. Track trends. 1.19 Manage effective communication among all internal departments, teams, and external resources. 1.20 Manage theHOLD/RELEASE
