Role:
The Root Cause Manager at H2 plays a critical role in enhancing manufacturing processes by identifying, analyzing, and resolving the underlying causes of production issues. This position is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to conduct thorough investigations into defects, failures, and inefficiencies, ensuring sustainable solutions that improve product quality and operational efficiency. The manager will develop and implement root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement strategies that align with organizational goals. By collaborating closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams, the Root Cause Manager drives data-driven decision-making to prevent recurrence of problems. Ultimately, this role ensures that manufacturing operations maintain high standards of reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness across all production lines in the United States facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related technical field experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a focus on quality and process improvement. Proven expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and problem-solving frameworks. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing. Experience with data analysis software and statistical tools. Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems. Previous experience managing or supervising root cause analysis in a large-scale manufacturing environment. Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate root cause analysis sessions using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production to identify process gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions. Develop and maintain documentation of root cause investigations, corrective action plans, and follow-up activities to ensure compliance with industry standards. Monitor key performance indicators related to product quality and process efficiency to identify trends and areas for improvement. Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on root cause analysis techniques and continuous improvement best practices. Coordinate with customers and external partners when root causes are linked to external components or services. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime, scrap rates, and operational costs while enhancing product reliability.
