POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a results-driven Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System and foster a culture of quality excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in automotive plastic injection molding, with a strong track record of developing high-performing teams, implementing robust quality programs, and serving as a trusted partner to customers. This role provides strategic oversight of the QMS to ensure consistent production quality, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement focused on defect prevention and reduction of variation and waste.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality System Leadership & Compliance Own, develop, and manage the Quality Management System to maintain
IATF 16949
2016 certification and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Serve as Management Representative for all quality system matters. Continuously evaluate evolving industry standards, regulatory changes, and customer requirements, and update QMS policies and procedures accordingly. Lead the Management Review process, including preparation of quality objectives/KPIs, documented agenda, and meeting minutes. Team Leadership & Operational Excellence Lead, mentor, and develop the entire Quality department. Define departmental structure, staffing levels, responsibilities, performance goals, and provide continuous coaching and timely performance reviews. Manage the QA and Document Control departmental expenses and capital budgets. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to achieve quality and financial objectives. Audits, Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Plan, conduct, and report on internal quality audits. Own the Corrective Action / Preventive Action (CAPA) system and the customer complaint management process, including containment, root cause analysis, and implementation of sustainable corrective actions. Host customer quality audits and surveys, and ensure timely closure of all findings and ongoing compliance with customer specifications. Champion continuous improvement by training and facilitating problem-solving methodologies including 6S, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, and Process FMEA. Product, Customer & Supplier Quality Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process and final inspection, and laboratory testing to ensure procedures are understood, correctly executed, and properly evaluated. Establish quality-related training programs for the organization. Serve as the primary customer contact for all quality matters, building strong rapport in person and virtually. Support the Sales team during the quotation process by reviewing quality requirements and estimating cost of compliance. Partner with Purchasing to establish supplier quality performance criteria, evaluate supplier specifications and quality plans, monitor supplier performance, and lead the supplier audit program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field. 7+ years of progressive experience in quality within a custom manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in a leadership / management role. Strong working knowledge of manufacturing quality principles and

2016, including Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Plastic injection molding experience is strongly preferred, particularly with automotive products. Proven ability to plan, organize, and lead an in-house manufacturing quality program. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to deliver clear technical presentations to all levels using PowerPoint and other tools. Professional, collaborative, customer-advocate mindset with a drive to win and high ethical standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Highly organized, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role works in both a manufacturing and office environment. The manufacturing environment may involve proximity to moving and/or high-temperature mechanical equipment and infrequent exposure to loud noise. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, and sit. The team member is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision. Repetitive use of hands may be required.
