Quality Director We are seeking an experienced senior Quality leader to oversee operational quality performance within an Automotive manufacturing environment, supporting established quality systems while driving continuous improvement, risk reduction, and customer issue resolution. This role focuses on execution, partnership, and improvement delivery, operating within an existing quality governance framework. Key Responsibilities Execute quality priorities in alignment with corporate or divisional quality strategy, translating expectations into practical, site?level actions Identify operational quality risks, reduce process variation, and lead prevention?based improvement initiatives within assigned manufacturing areas Serve as a key point of contact for customer quality issues, ensuring timely response, effective containment, and collaboration on permanent corrective actions Strengthen day?to?day manufacturing performance through disciplined process monitoring, use of data, and adherence to defined quality controls Support compliance with applicable quality management systems and customer requirements by partnering with corporate quality and audit teams Ensure management systems remain effective, audit-ready, and aligned with applicable industry and customer standards. Champion IATF and ISO compliance initiatives. Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply chain to improve reliability, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational effectiveness Guide supplier quality activities in coordination with centralized supplier quality resources, including issue escalation and corrective action follow?up Promote structured problem?solving and root?cause methodologies to address recurring defects and operational issues Oversee site?level measurement systems, validation activities, and quality reporting to ensure visibility and accountability Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the local quality and operations teams What You Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or related discipline; advanced education a plus Demonstrated leadership experience in high?volume Automotive manufacturing environments; experience in regulated or customer?driven industries preferred Working knowledge of quality systems, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement tools Proven ability to lead cross?functional initiatives and deliver measurable operational improvements Practical, hands?on leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with operations, engineering, supply chain, and customer?facing teamsSimilar remote jobs
