Job Description

Quality Assurance (QA) ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead and maintain a robust quality management program. The QA Manager will be responsible for defining quality strategy, ensuring product and process compliance, driving continuous improvement, and leading a team of quality professionals. This role will partner with engineering, production, and supply chain to meet regulatory and customer requirements, with a focus on maintaining high standards across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations (including ISO/AS standards and industry-specific requirements).Lead and manage the QA team, including hiring, mentoring, performance management and professional development of quality staff.

Plan and execute internal audits and coordinate external audits with customers and certification bodies; manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to closure.

Oversee incoming, in-process and final inspection activities; manage nonconformance reporting, root cause analysis and disposition processes.

Define and monitor quality metrics and KPIs; prepare quality reports and present findings and improvement plans to senior management.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new product introduction, change control and process validation activities.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methods (e.g., FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, SPC) to reduce defects, scrap and rework.

Manage supplier quality performance and conduct supplier audits as needed to ensure component and material compliance.

Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and industry standards (including FAA rules for aerospace environments where applicable) and ensure the organizations practices remain compliant.

Promote a culture of quality and safety through training programs and cross-functional communication.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA and Quality Management, with demonstrated leadership of quality teams.

Proven experience with Quality Assurance and QC processes, including inspection, test methods and nonconformance management.

Familiarity with quality standards and certification processes such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, and experience supporting external audits.

Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA) and statistical process control.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interfacing with cross-functional teams and presenting to senior leadership.

Experience managing supplier quality and coordinating supplier corrective actions.

Leadership experience as a Manager or Supervisor; experience at Director level is a plus.
Nice-to-have:
background in Aerospace/Avionics, familiarity with FAA regulations, prior roles in QC, Quality Assurance or supervisory/managerial positions, and certifications such as ASQ CQE, Six Sigma, or ISO Lead Auditor.
