Shop and Manufacturing Manager/ Quality Control

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shop and Manufacturing Manager/Quality Control professional to lead our production operations and uphold the highest standards of quality assurance. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help maintain efficient workflows, enforce rigorous quality standards, and foster a safety-first environment that promotes excellence across all production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence product quality and operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate manufacturing operations to meet production targets while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements such as
HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001, ISO
13485, and FDA regulations. Implement and monitor quality management systems, conducting regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with legal and industry standards. Develop, review, and enforce quality control procedures, inspection protocols, and testing methods aligned with
GMP, QA/QC
practices, and Six Sigma methodologies. Manage cross-functional communication between production teams, quality assurance personnel, regulatory bodies, and suppliers to ensure seamless workflow and compliance. Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues using analysis skills like GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and Six Sigma tools; lead corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Oversee training programs for staff on quality systems, safety procedures, regulatory standards, and manufacturing best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean management principles to optimize manufacturing efficiency while maintaining product integrity. Skills Extensive knowledge of quality standards in production including
HACCP, CGMP, ISO 9001, ISO
13485, and FDA regulations. Proven experience in conducting quality audits and implementing robust quality assurance systems. Strong understanding of regulatory/legal compliance standards relevant to manufacturing environments. Expertise in practicing industrial or manufacturing engineering roles with a focus on Six Sigma manufacturing processes. Proficiency in quality inspection techniques, GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and analysis skills for troubleshooting production issues. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in team management with excellent cross-functional communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to strict deadlines and quality benchmarks. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
