Full-Time About the Role High Quality Organics (HQO) is seeking a Supplier Quality & Onboarding Manager to lead the Quality qualification and approval of new ingredient suppliers. We are looking for an experienced food Quality professional with a "get to YES" mindset —someone who protects food safety, Quality, regulatory, and organic standards while actively working with suppliers to find practical solutions and move approvals forward.
The goal:
make supplier onboarding faster, clearer, and more effective without compromising HQO's standards. Key Responsibilities Own the Quality portion of new supplier qualification, onboarding, and approval. Review supplier food safety programs, certifications, specifications, testing, validation studies, and required Quality documentation. Clearly communicate HQO's Quality, food safety, regulatory, and organic requirements to suppliers. Identify gaps and work directly with supplier Quality and commercial teams to develop practical paths to approval. Proactively follow up on missing information and drive supplier approvals to completion. Partner with Supply Chain, R D, Operations, Sales, and Quality to prioritize supplier and ingredient approvals. Lead and develop team members supporting supplier Quality and onboarding. Track approval cycle time, aging approvals, bottlenecks, and outstanding requirements. Continuously improve the supplier onboarding process to increase speed, clarity, and effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field. 5+ years of Quality and/or Food Safety experience in the food industry , preferably food manufacturing or food ingredients. Experience qualifying and approving food or ingredient suppliers. Strong knowledge of HACCP, Preventive Controls, GMPs, supplier verification, and food safety requirements. Knowledge of USDA National Organic Program (NOP) requirements. Previous team leadership or management experience. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills. Ability to manage multiple supplier approvals and priorities simultaneously. Solutions-oriented approach with a strong sense of urgency and accountability. Certifications & Training Candidates should have or be willing to obtain: FDA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual ( PCQI ) training Foreign Supplier Verification Programs ( FSVP/FSPCA ) training Safe Quality Food ( SQF ) Practitioner training USDA National Organic Program ( NOP ) / Organic Integrity Learning Center training What Success Looks Like Faster supplier approvals without compromising Quality or food safety. The right person will not simply identify why a supplier cannot be approved. They will work with the supplier and HQO team to determine what needs to happen to get to YES.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
