Islandia, NY Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Ripening Analyst Supervisor to oversee daily ripening operations within our food distribution warehouse. This position is responsible for managing the ripening process of fresh produce, monitoring product quality, supervising Ripening Analysts and warehouse personnel, and ensuring product is ripened and released according to customer specifications. The Ripening Analyst Supervisor will use product data, inventory levels, customer orders, room conditions, and quality inspections to make informed decisions regarding ripening schedules and product release. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience with fresh produce, warehouse operations, quality control, or food distribution. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Ripening Analysts and assigned warehouse employees. Oversee the ripening program for fresh produce, including bananas, avocados, mangos, and other temperature-sensitive products. Establish and adjust ripening schedules based on inventory, customer orders, product condition, and anticipated demand. Monitor ripening rooms for temperature, humidity, airflow, ventilation, and other environmental conditions. Review product condition and determine appropriate ripening actions and release timing. Conduct and oversee daily quality inspections, including color, firmness, temperature, maturity, appearance, and defects. Ensure product meets company and customer quality specifications before shipment. Monitor product age, shelf life, and inventory levels to minimize shrink and product loss. Review ripening reports, quality records, inventory reports, and production data for accuracy. Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve ripening consistency, product quality, and operational efficiency. #LONG-1Pay:
