This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day Quality Assurance and Food Safety activities, ensuring products and processes meet company, customer, regulatory, and food safety requirements. The QA Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership to the Quality team, partner closely with Production, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Maintenance, and help ensure consistent compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, SOPs, and other applicable quality and food safety programs. This position is scheduled for 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and support Quality Assurance team members to ensure consistent execution of quality and food safety requirements. Provide daily direction, training, performance feedback, and accountability to assigned QA personnel. Monitor manufacturing activities to ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, product specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, SOPs, and established food safety and quality programs. Review and verify production, quality, and food safety documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Oversee product inspections, sampling, testing, and release activities in accordance with established procedures and specifications. Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs), preventive controls, and other applicable food safety controls. Identify, investigate, and document quality deviations, non-conformances, and food safety concerns. Lead or support root cause investigations and the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Place product on hold when necessary and coordinate product evaluation and disposition with appropriate Quality and Operations leadership. Partner with Production, Sanitation, Warehouse, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve quality and food safety concerns. Support internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits and assist with corrective actions resulting from audit findings. Ensure employees receive appropriate training related to GMPs, food safety, quality procedures, and documentation requirements. Escalate significant quality or food safety concerns to appropriate leadership in a timely manner. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, food safety, processes, documentation, and operational performance. Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and promote a culture of quality, food safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and food safety and quality systems. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. HACCP, PCQI, or SQF certification preferred. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. 3+ years of Quality Assurance or Food Safety experience, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
