Job Description
Quality Control Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee quality operations, support production, and ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, quality control, and communication skills. Experience with plastic sheet extrusion is a plus. Responsibilities Supervise, train, and support Quality Control Technicians. Oversee quality of extruded sheet products, including appearance, thickness, dimensions, color, and functionality. Inspect and approve incoming and outgoing materials and products. Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, color meters, gloss meters, and other devices. Implement and maintain quality procedures, standards, and process controls. Conduct internal and external quality audits and maintain ISO/QMS documentation. Investigate non-conformances, RMAs, and customer complaints and implement corrective actions. Manage regulatory compliance, COAs/COCs, SDS documentation, and required quality records. Develop and update QC procedures and testing methods for new and existing products and processes. Communicate quality and production issues with management, supervisors, accounting, customers, and other departments. Skills & Requirements Previous quality control and management/supervisory experience. Ability to read and use rulers, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales, and other measuring devices. Strong communication, leadership, training, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred. Ability to work both in an office environment and on the production floor. Knowledge of production equipment, material handling, safety, and quality processes. Previous plastic sheet extrusion experience is a plus. High school diploma or GED required.
