Job Description

Position Summary Our Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to support and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS). This role is critical to ensuring compliance with
IATF 16949
standards and customer-specific requirements while driving continuous improvement throughout the organization. The ideal candidate must be an
IATF 16949
Certified Lead Auditor with demonstrated experience developing, writing, revising, and maintaining quality system documentation. This position works closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Management to ensure our quality system remains compliant and audit-ready. Key Responsibilities Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with
IATF 16949
requirements. Lead internal audits and coordinate external customer, registrar, and supplier audits. Develop, write, revise, and maintain quality documentation, including: Policies Procedures Work Instructions Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Process Flow Diagrams Forms and Quality Records Ensure all controlled documents are accurate, current, and properly distributed through the document control system. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions. Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA documentation. Coordinate management review meetings and prepare quality performance reports. Conduct employee training on quality system requirements, procedures, and document updates. Monitor compliance with customer-specific requirements and regulatory standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 5 Why, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to maintain compliance and improve operational performance. Qualifications Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Current
IATF 16949
Certified Lead Auditor certification (Required). Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Quality Systems within an automotive manufacturing environment. Strong experience writing, editing, and maintaining quality system documentation. Experience leading internal audits and preparing organizations for third-party certification audits. Working knowledge of
Automotive Core Tools:
APQP PPAP PFMEA
Control Plans SPC MSA Excellent technical writing, organization, and communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Experience working for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Experience with electronic document management systems and ERP software. Knowledge of customer-specific automotive requirements. #hc257053
