This position is responsible for performing a thorough quality-control review of medical, billing, and other records received from custodians before they are delivered to attorneys and clients. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience working with legal or medical records. This role requires the ability to identify discrepancies, maintain accurate case files, and ensure that all records and invoices meet established quality standards before final delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and takes pride in accuracy, completeness, and client service. Key Responsibilities Audit records received from various custodians before they are released to attorneys and clients. Verify that records contain the correct patient information and correspond to the requested date range and record type. Review documents for proper Bates numbering, searchable text/OCR, completeness, legibility, and document organization . Identify missing, duplicate, incorrect, or incomplete records and coordinate necessary corrections or follow-up. Audit invoices to ensure that all charges, line items, fees, and supporting documentation are accurately captured. Maintain and manage electronic case files using document management systems such as SmartVault . Ensure records, invoices, correspondence, and supporting documents are properly organized, labeled, and maintained within each case file. Work closely with internal processing teams, attorneys, clients, and external record custodians to resolve discrepancies. Handle confidential medical and legal information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity. Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
