ENHANCED Posted 07/2026 Job Description Job Summary Performance Aircraft is currently looking to fill an aircraft fuel system QA A&P Inspection Supervisory position in the Dallas Fort Worth area. We are looking for career-minded individuals with mechanical experience that wish to advance within a growing company quickly. Structural and fuel systems knowledge on military and wide body commercial aircraft is preferable. The ideal candidate serves as a key member of the Quality Department capable of leading inspections, improving processes, analyzing quality metrics, developing training programs, and supporting the continuous improvement of the organization's FAA Repair Station and AS9100 Quality Management System.

This position reports to the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector. Competitive compensation rate based on experience level in a quality or supervisory role. Minimum of 3 years' experience in supervisory or inspection position. Height and weight ratio are acceptable to access aircraft integral fuel tanks. High level of professional and ethical work habits. Must be focused with attention to detail. Solid communication and computer skills. Applicants must pass DOT drug screening and criminal background check prior to employment. US Citizenship Required. Occasional travel assignments are required. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint), including the ability to develop reports, track metrics, and manage quality documentation. Demonstrated experience collecting, quantifying, analyzing, and presenting quality performance data to support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of Lean principles and continuous process improvement methodologies. Experience planning, conducting, or supporting internal, customer, or regulatory audits. Experience developing, revising, and maintaining technical procedures, work instructions, quality manuals, and controlled documentation. Ability to develop and deliver technical training programs and employee qualification curriculum. Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems and associated aerospace quality standards. Familiarity with FAA regulations, Repair Station operations, and FAA-approved maintenance documentation. Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Ability to interpret technical data, engineering drawings, technical orders, maintenance manuals, and regulatory requirements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced maintenance environment. Previous experience serving as a Lead Inspector, Quality Supervisor, Chief Inspector, or Quality Assurance Manager. Experience supporting FAA Part 145 Repair Stations. Experience with military aircraft fuel systems, integral fuel tanks, or depot-level maintenance. AS9100 Internal Auditor certification or equivalent auditing experience preferred. Familiarity with DCMA, DOD, or government contract quality requirements is a plus. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
