This position must protect product integrity while helping production identify problems early and prevent repeat defects. Why This Role Matters PCF is expanding its manufacturing capacity and production space. As volume increases, quality must become more consistent, measurable and traceable. The Quality Control Manager has final authority over inspection and release and must be willing to stop a part, shipment or completed vehicle when requirements are not met. What You Will Own Create, maintain and enforce product-specific inspection plans, checklists and acceptance criteria. Control final release of manufactured parts, assemblies and completed vehicles. Manage nonconforming product through identification, quarantine, traceability, disposition and reinspection. Perform or approve first-article inspections after design, program, tooling, supplier or process changes. Verify drawings, revisions, gauges and measurement methods before accepting or rejecting product. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action using warranty, return and internal defect data. Maintain gauge calibration, inspection records, defect documentation and quality training. Coordinate with Production and General Shop leadership so inspection priorities and holds are visible early. Identify repeat defects and work with the responsible department to correct the process rather than repeatedly sorting product. Communicate customer, safety and shipment risks immediately with a documented containment and recovery plan. How Success Will Be Measured First-pass yield and internal defect rate QC turnaround time and inspection backlog Customer defect, return and comeback rate Repeat-defect reduction Corrective-action closure and effectiveness First-article completion and approval accuracy Gauge calibration and inspection-record compliance Scrap and rework caused by preventable quality failures Required Qualifications Experience inspecting fabricated parts, assemblies or vehicles in a manufacturing or service environment. Ability to read fabrication drawings, dimensions, tolerances and current revisions. Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, angle finders, gauges and fixtures. Working knowledge of weld, finish, fitment and assembly inspection. Ability to document defects clearly, control nonconforming product and verify rework before release. Strong independent judgment and willingness to protect quality when schedules are under pressure. Demonstrated ability to lead employees, train inspectors and communicate findings without creating unnecessary conflict. Preferred Qualifications Powersports, UTV or SXS component and vehicle-build experience. Weld inspection, first-article inspection and corrective-action experience. Experience creating inspection plans, gauges, fixtures and quality checklists. Familiarity with suspension, steering, alignment, calibration or fabricated vehicle components. Experience using quality data to reduce warranty claims, scrap and rework. Leadership Expectations Apply the same documented standard to every product and employee. Separate facts and measurements from assumptions or personal opinions. Communicate holds and risks early enough for Production to build a recovery plan. Protect safety and quality even when a customer order or delivery is late. Teach the correct process and verify that corrective actions prevent recurrence.
Schedule Schedule:
Full time and on site in East Texas. Management availability may be required outside normal hours when critical customer, equipment or safety issues occur. How to Apply Submit a resume and a short written response describing one quality problem you identified, how you contained it, how you determined the root cause and how you verified the corrective action. Selected candidates will complete a structured interview and a practical inspection exercise. Pocket Change Fab evaluates applicants based on demonstrated ability, leadership, accountability and the requirements of the position. Pocket Change Fab is an equal opportunity employer.
