This manager will assign technicians, control labor hours, stage parts, enforce shop routines and coordinate final QC so every completed UTV or SXS is safe, documented and ready when promised. Why This Role Matters PCF is expanding its facility, equipment and workforce. Vehicle builds, service and installations must finish on time and within PCF labor standards as volume grows. The General Shop Manager gives every technician a clear plan, catches missing parts before work begins and prevents incomplete vehicles from reaching pickup day. What You Will Own Build and run the daily and weekly schedule for vehicle builds, service, repairs and accessory installations. Assign work based on technician skill, job priority, promised date and available labor hours. Track actual time against PCF labor standards and address overruns before the job is completed. Stage parts, hardware, work orders and job instructions before technicians begin work. Identify missing, damaged or incorrect parts early and communicate a documented recovery plan. Control teardown findings, additional work and customer authorization before unapproved labor is performed. Enforce time entry, opening and closing, housekeeping, tool control, safety and preventive-maintenance routines. Coordinate final QC, test drives, alignment, calibration, documentation and pickup readiness. Hold technicians accountable for workmanship, productivity, work-area condition and completed checklists. Communicate schedule risks to Operations and customer-facing staff before a promise is missed. How Success Will Be Measured On-time vehicle and service completion Labor-budget compliance and technician productivity Waiting-on-parts time and staged-job readiness Comeback, rework and internal defect rate Final-checklist and documentation compliance Customer pickup readiness Preventive-maintenance and shop-routine completion Safety actions and housekeeping standards Required Qualifications Strong mechanical, vehicle-build or service background with demonstrated people leadership. Ability to schedule multiple vehicles and technicians while managing due dates and labor standards. Disciplined work-order, parts-staging, time-entry and quality-control habits. Ability to read job requirements, identify risks and communicate a practical recovery plan. Demonstrated ability to delegate work, coach employees and hold former peers accountable. Commitment to safe work, accurate documentation and consistent final inspection. Comfort working on the shop floor and making timely decisions in a fast-moving environment. Preferred Qualifications Powersports, UTV, SXS or performance-vehicle build experience. Suspension, steering, alignment, calibration, electrical and diagnostic experience. Experience supervising technicians in a flat-rate or standard-hour environment. Familiarity with work orders, parts inventory, warranty documentation and customer-authorized additional work. Experience leading final QC, road or trail testing and vehicle pickup preparation. Leadership Expectations Start each day with a clear plan, assigned owners and realistic completion times. Use work orders, labor hours and visible status instead of assumptions or verbal-only direction. Hold every technician to the same safety, quality and accountability standards. Protect quality even when a vehicle or customer delivery is behind schedule. Correct recurring shop processes instead of repeatedly fixing the same last-minute problem.
Schedule Schedule:
Full time and on site in East Texas. Management availability may be required outside normal hours when critical customer, equipment or safety issues occur. How to Apply Submit a resume and a short written response explaining how you would plan a busy shop day with multiple promised vehicle completions, a missing-parts problem and limited technician capacity. Selected candidates will complete a structured interview and a practical scheduling exercise.
