Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all quality functions at our large manufacturing facility in Ogden, Utah. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving quality culture, systems, and performance across the plant. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with the potential to succeed into a Plant Manager role within 1-2 years. Key Responsibilities- Set the quality culture and strategic direction for the entire facility.
- Lead and oversee Manufacturing Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Material Inspection, Test Lab, Metrology, and Customer Relations teams.
- Drive problem-solving efforts and ensure systemic root cause analysis to eliminate quality issues.
- Champion continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and technical support teams to resolve complex quality challenges.
- Manage resources, remove obstacles, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of quality professionals (8-10 direct reports).
- Interpret and execute company policies while developing strategies for support systems and process improvements. Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor"s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related technical field) required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Quality leadership roles
- Strong background in automotive, metal mechanics, or aerospace manufacturing
- Previous experience managing large teams and complex manufacturing operations Technical Skills & Certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (strongly preferred)
- Lean Manufacturing expertise
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 or equivalent quality standards
- Advanced problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Leadership Profile
- Hands-on leader with a strong 'floor presence'
- Proven ability to take ownership and drive results
- Excellent communication, influence, and team development skills
- High level of accountability and a perfection-oriented mindset
