Job Description

Epic Personnel Partners is seeking a Kitchen Quality Assurance (QA) Manage r to oversee quality assurance and food safety programs across kitchen operations. The QA Manager ensures compliance with customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards while maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise QA teams, including QA supervisors, kitchen staff, and quality control teams. Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, GMP) and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, local laws). Conduct scheduled and unannounced audits, inspections, and peer reviews to maintain high-quality standards. Oversee food safety initiatives, including product testing, sanitation, pest control, and HACCP/Food Defense programs. Ensure 100% accuracy on finished goods inventory. Monitor dock temperatures and uphold quality standards in the distribution center. Manage Product Safety Information (PSIs) in GOLD, including allergen database entries. Track and file third-party vendor audits, flagging non-compliant vendors. Record daily product rejections and update the FDA vendor tracking sheet quarterly. Maintain accurate records and conduct mock recalls. Provide training and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
Qualifications:
HACCP, Food Defense, and SQF Practitioner certifications required. Some college coursework or 2+ years of warehouse supervision experience (wholesale industry preferred). Strong time management, organization, and leadership skills to enforce company policies and collaborate across departments. Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and WMS/Gold system for data entry and reporting. Knowledge of distribution practices and food safety regulations. Ability to stand for up to 2 hours per-shift, lift up to 25 lbs., and work extended hours as needed. Certified to operate warehouse equipment (or willingness to obtain certification). Comfortable working in cold environments (32-36°F) and areas with at least 72 inches of headroom.
