QA Senior Supervisor Fair Oaks Foods, LLC - 2.8 Pleasant Prairie, WI Job Details 3 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Food safety management Developing safety training programs Word embeddings HACCP Team training Productivity software Staff development Full Job Description Position Summary As the Quality Assurance Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for quality assurance aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that processes and procedures follow customer, regulatory, and corporate requirements. The Quality Assurance Senior Supervisor provides leadership and expertise on quality assurance processes and tools. You will lead a team that manages change control, training, complaint management, audit/regulatory compliance, and document control processes. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that the site is in a state of continuous inspection readiness. The Quality Assurance Senior Supervisor will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. Responsibilities Manage Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure alignment with corporate, customer, and regulatory requirements Hire, train and develop qualified staff to ensure effective execution of quality assurance tasks and attainment of operational and development goals Responsible for corrective action of direct reports by counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring and appraising work performance. Drive achievement of site vision and goals/objectives Ensure application of risk management and sound root cause analysis tools Analyze and report quality measures, performance trends, and improvements to site staff and management team Monitor and report statistical process control metrics to internal team and customers as required Manage the quality/food safety hold/release program by placing non-conforming product on hold, completing pre-shipment documentation, and managing the inventory of non-conforming product Review and approve quality documentation such as procedures, deviation/CAPA plans, risk assessments, and change controls to ensure compliance Manage, update, and ensure compliance to HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and other quality related programs Ensure compliance with GFSI audit standards and support quality manager on all third party and customer audits Manage internal auditing program for the facility Ensure QA tasks such as sample collection, swabs, product compliance measurements, sensory and chemical testing, etc. are completed Provide quality assurance support to new product introduction and contract manufacturing activities Act as a facility liaison to the USDA Temporarily assumes the duties of the Quality Assurance Manager in their absence as needed. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in food science, biology, or related field is strongly preferred Minimum of 3+ years of successful experience in a quality leadership role with successful demonstration of the key quality assurance responsibilities strongly preferred Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential; bilingual (Spanish-English) a plus. Strong math, analytical, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to work in electronic data collection and traceability systems Must have demonstrated the ability to develop and deliver food safety training and HACCP programs. Demonstrated leadership, people development, and coaching Ability to establish collaborative relationships with various departments to deliver on quality commitments Ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time and deliver results on time Strong problem-solving skills Knowledge in USDA and GFSI audit requirements and guidelines strongly preferred
