Job Description

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee all aspects of plant quality systems, compliance, process control, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements while supporting operational excellence across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain functions. The Quality Manager will lead quality assurance activities, develop and maintain quality systems, drive process improvements, and build a culture focused on defect prevention and customer satisfaction. This position is a key member of the plant leadership team and plays a critical role in supporting safety, quality, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Lead all plant quality assurance and quality control functions. Maintain and improve quality management systems in compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements. Lead customer complaint investigations and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented. Define and monitor critical process control points and inspection requirements. Develop, implement, and improve Statistical Process Control (SPC) programs throughout manufacturing operations. Lead and execute process capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk) to evaluate and improve manufacturing performance. Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive root cause corrective actions. Manage internal audits, customer audits, and certification audits. Partner with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Establish and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection methods. Monitor supplier quality performance and support supplier development activities. Develop and mentor quality personnel while fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Communicate plant quality performance metrics and improvement initiatives to leadership. Support new product launches, process validations, and manufacturing improvements. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements. Required Qualifications (Must-Haves) Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience leading and conducting process capability studies (Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk). Candidates must have personally performed and led capability studies, not simply have knowledge of them. Demonstrated experience implementing, maintaining, and improving Statistical Process Control (SPC) programs. Manufacturing experience within plastics and/or aerospace industries is required. Strong understanding of quality systems, process controls, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience managing customer quality concerns, audits, and supplier quality programs. Proven leadership experience managing and developing quality teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQM, or related quality credentials. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Experience driving plant-wide quality improvement initiatives. Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and quality tools.
Compensation Base Salary:
$81,500 - $122,300 Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
