About The Role As a Quality Inspector at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring product compliance through inspections, testing, and process monitoring. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices in accordance with regulatory standards and company policy. Calibrates test equipment daily, including micrometers, calipers, and coating thickness gauges. Assists in calibrating pH and conductivity meters and refractometers. Assists in performing titrations on process tanks to ensure process efficiency. Performs random quality audits of finished products and ensures compliance with customer specifications. Notifies mill management when products are out of tolerance and verifies corrective actions. Identifies and records non-conforming products to maintain quality standards. Performs inventory checks and communicates supply needs. Supports root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts with operations teams. Communicates ongoing quality issues to the QA Manager or QA Supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned to support the Quality Department. Maintains regular, full-time onsite attendance as scheduled. Who You Are 1 year of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred Working knowledge of quality standards and procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic math skills for calibration and measurement Skilled in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and gauges Familiar with hand tools, bandsaws, cutoff saws, and hydraulic presses Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow through on tasks What You'll Get Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental coverage.
