Job Duties Support aerospace manufacturing operations by ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and quality requirements. Perform detailed product inspections using engineering drawings, specifications, mylars, sketches, and tooling documents. Conduct dimensional, hardness, conductivity, and mechanical inspections to verify product compliance. Generate AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports and maintain accurate quality records. Review internal documentation against customer requirements and industry standards. Inspect mechanical assemblies for functionality, safety, and quality compliance. Collaborate with production teams, communicate quality concerns, and proactively maintain inspection resources. Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Complete additional quality assurance and inspection responsibilities as assigned. Education Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Additional training or certifications in Aerospace Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Inspection, or Mechanical Systems are a plus. Experience Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace quality control, quality inspection, or aerospace manufacturing environments. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Proficiency creating AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). Skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, scales, protractors, and inspection gauges. Experience with
CAD/CAM, CNC
programming, CMM operation, DPD, and MBD is preferred. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and quality documentation systems. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand or sit for extended periods throughout the workday. Capable of bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, and performing repetitive movements. Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment. Must possess full use of hands and arms for inspection and measurement activities. Requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
