The Quality Control/ Shift Lead will provide support and supervision of the entire shift in collaboration with supervisors and managers. If a manager is not present the Quality Control/ Shift Lead has full authority to supervise and direct all shift employees.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Related Duties and Responsibilities:
The Quality Control/ Shift Lead will be expected to perform all the duties of a Quality Assistant, including, but not limited to: Completing all necessary traveler paperwork and testing required to ensure product and documentation are meeting requirements Review shop traveler for completeness and accuracy Performs First Article inspection and testing activities Performs In-Process inspection and testing activities Performs Final Inspections and testing activities Record testing results in hardcopy and/or electronic formats as required Oversee sorting/rework operations Label creation/inspection Checks and confirm machine parameters for correct settings Oversees the completion and coordination of quality activities including, but not limited to: First Article, In Process testing and Final inspections Oversees completion of appropriate documentation to support testing procedures Assists in schedule oversight and workflow Provides daily guidance and/or direction to other Quality Assistants on the shift Trains, motivates and coaches staff Makes recommendations for improvement as needed Identifies issues and develops solutions Performs other related duties as assigned by managementProduction Related Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises all shift activity performed by employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift Monitors and reports daily production issues, successes, material usages, waste and downtime Reports equipment problems to the appropriate department and managers Trains, motivates and coaches staff Makes recommendations for improvement as needed Identifies issues and develops solutions Assigns operators to specific tasks and/or equipment for the shift Performs other related duties as assigned by managementSupervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises all employees within the designated shift Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems Communicate issues relating to personnel, product and/or equipment with appropriate management as requiredQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum three years of related experience and/or training Experience with laboratory and/or cleanroom environment, equipment and safety procedures Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates or other non-direct reports Must be able to perform all functions of the Quality AssistantCOMPETENCIES

Continually required to stand Continually required to walk Frequently required to sit Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Continually required to talk or hear Continually work near moving mechanical parts Occasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather) While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud (the production floor is considered a sustained loud manufacturing environment that requires hearing protection) The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 25 pounds / frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds or more / continually lift and/or move up to 25 pounds or more Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including gowning, hair nets, beard covers, eye protection, hearing protection, and any other necessaryPPE COMPENSATION, SCHEDULE, AND BENEFITS
$23- 25 per hour
Schedule:
Monday- Thursday, 2:30pm
