Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and highly motivated bilingual Spanish/English Quality Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has working knowledge of USDA requirements, HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs and is comfortable working directly with production employees and management. This position requires a strong self-starter who can recognize problems, take initiative, follow through on responsibilities, and maintain accurate records with limited supervision. Responsibilities Inspect raw materials, products being processed, and finished products. Monitor production operations for compliance with USDA requirements, HACCP plans, GMPs, SSOPs, and company food-safety procedures. Perform required quality-control and food-safety checks accurately and on schedule. Monitor product temperatures, weights, specifications, processing procedures, and general product quality. Verify labels, lot information, dates, ingredients, and other required product information. Complete monitoring records and quality-control documentation accurately and promptly. Identify and report food-safety concerns, deviations, and non-conforming products. Initiate or assist with corrective actions and verify that problems have been properly resolved. Communicate food-safety expectations clearly to production employees in both Spanish and English. Work professionally with USDA inspection personnel and assist during regulatory and internal audits. Help train employees on GMPs, sanitation, food safety, and quality-control procedures. Follow up independently on open issues and ensure assigned responsibilities are completed. Perform other quality-control and food-safety duties as assigned. Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages. Previous quality-control or food-safety experience in a food-processing or USDA-inspected facility is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs . HACCP training or certification is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills. Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and able to work with limited supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to address food-safety or quality concerns immediately. Ability to communicate professionally with production employees, management, and USDA personnel. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or food-safety training is preferred. Ability to work in a refrigerated food-processing environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to follow all company safety, sanitation, and personal protective equipment requirements. Work Schedule Monday through Friday Applicants must have dependable and consistent attendance.
