Job Summary

AS9100D CNC

Machine shop in Oceanside CA is seeking a skilled CMM Programming Consultant as needed. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), specifically with

MITUTOYO CRT-AV7106

systems. This individual will be involved in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting CMM programs to ensure precise measurement and quality control of manufactured parts. The consultant will collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to support inspection processes and improve measurement efficiency. Duties Develop and execute CMM programs using

MITUTOYO CRT-AV7106

systems to accurately measure parts and components. Analyze measurement data to identify deviations and ensure compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMM programming and operation, ensuring minimal downtime. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to interpret measurement requirements and implement appropriate inspection strategies. Optimize existing CMM programs for efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability. Provide technical guidance on CMM programming best practices and system calibration procedures. Document inspection procedures, program modifications, and measurement results for quality records. Stay current with advancements in CMM technology and programming techniques to continually improve inspection processes. Experience Proven experience in CMM programming, specifically with

MITUTOYO CRT-AV7106

systems.

MCOSMOS 5.3

Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on precision measurement challenges. Prior experience working in manufacturing or quality assurance environments is advantageous.
