Our shop focuses on fast, honest service and maintaining compliance with California emissions regulations. Responsibilities Perform smog inspections in accordance with California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regulations Conduct emissions testing on gasoline vehicles Enter and submit test results using BAR-certified equipment Maintain accurate records of inspections Communicate test results and next steps to customers Keep work area and equipment clean and organized Follow all state environmental and safety guidelines Requirements Valid California Smog Inspector License Experience performing smog inspections (preferred) Knowledge of emissions systems and testing procedures Strong attention to detail and integrity Good customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications ASE Certification (a plus) from National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence Experience with BAR-OIS equipment Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Benefits Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling Opportunity for overtime Friendly work environment
