Summary:
At Aptiv Interconnect, we inspire the world's most innovative teams by doing the right thing, the right way. We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Production Inspector to ensure that products manufactured meet established quality standards and specifications throughout the production process. In this role, you will act as a gatekeeper of quality, inspecting materials, components, and finished goods to maintain product compliance and prevent defective products from reaching the customer. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to minimize defects and use your stop-production authority to drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
Leadership & Core Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Inspection Product & Material Inspection:
Inspect materials, components, and finished goods against established specifications to prevent defective products from advancing in the supply chain.
Process Monitoring:
Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to the quality management system and applicable industry regulations.
Documentation & Process Improvement Quality Documentation:
Accurately document inspection findings and log data to maintain compliance and traceability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with production personnel and stakeholders to resolve quality issues, exercise stop-production authority when necessary, and drive continuous operational improvements.
Position Requirements Education & Technical Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required (technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred).
Experience:
Proven experience in quality control inspection within a production or manufacturing environment.
Industry Domain:
Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Regulatory Compliance:
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations is a plus.
Certifications & Competencies Certifications:
Technical certification in quality control or a related field preferred.
Systems Proficiency:
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting using Google Enterprise and ADP Lyric.
Core Competencies:
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Compensation, Benefits & Legal Total Rewards & Compensation Base Salary Range:
$19.00 - $21.00/hr (DOE)
