Non-Exempt Position Summary In this role, you act as the first line of defense against defects, performing routine checks under the direct supervision of the Quality Control Manager. This role operates under AS9100 guidelines, using precision measurement tools and collaborating closely with production and quality teams to maintain the highest quality standards.Primary skill set:

Work Schedule:
1st 6am - 2:30pm Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate and maintain CMMs to inspect manufactured parts and assemblies (as needed). Perform dimensional, visual, first article, in-process, receiving and final inspections according to drawings, specifications, work instructions and quality procedures. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements. Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, pin gauges, thread gauges, optical comparators and other inspection tools. Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records, inspection reports and nonconformance documentation as required. Prepare, complete and support FAI documentation and inspection packages when required. Verify calibration status of inspection tools and equipment before use and report any equipment concerns or discrepancies. Identify, communicate, and help resolve dimensional discrepancies, nonconforming parts and quality issues with production and quality teams. Support root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection methods and product quality. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area while following company safety policies and quality system requirements. Program, operate and maintain CMMs to inspect manufactured parts and assemblies (as needed). Experienced with programming PC-DMIS for the CMM. Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace, medical device, automotive, precision machining or other highly regulated manufacturing environments. Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102 or similar quality management standards. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T symbols. Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), corrective actions and nonconformance reporting. Proficiency using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools. Strong shop math skills, including decimals, fractions, geometry and measurement conversions. Ability to maintain accurate records and complete inspection documentation. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic quality documentation systems. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and support production schedules while maintaining quality standards. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach and use hands for inspection and measurement tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift and move parts or materials up to 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is typically performed in a manufacturing, machine shop or quality lab environment. Use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves or safety shoes. Overtime, shift work or schedule flexibility may be required based on production needs.Pay:
