$600.00Position Summary:
An Asphalt QC Tech II at Brannan is someone who, under the direction of experienced staff, continues to develop knowledge within Asphalt and applies applicable principles of materials engineering and standard construction practices.Functional Responsibilities:
Conducts calibrations and verifications of testing equipment Performs on-site observations, collects representative samples, and performs tests to monitor construction processes and records observations and results that are reported daily to supervisors Reads, reviews, and understands test procedures, standards, plans, and specifications Performs tests, records observations, and maintains project records for a more complex nature Assists supervisors and managers with day-to-day tasks Develops professional internal and external relationships Develops the attitude and skills to provide guidance and direction to other technicians Capable of performing CDOT projects with supervision Availability to work some nights and weekends (including overtime)Qualifications:
CDOT QC/QA
Certifications CAPA Level A, B, C- Required
- 3+ years of QC technician or related experience
Physical Requirements:
Standing- 6 to 8 hours daily Walking
- 6 to 8 hours daily Bending/Stooping
- 6 to 8 hours daily Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping)
- 6 to 8 hours daily Lifting (weights up to 100 lbs.)
- Occasionally Lift and Carry (50/60 lbs. for 300 feet)
- Regularly Push / Pull
- 6 to 8 hours daily
