Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a quality technician position at a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position. The hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$30 an hour, based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform quality control inspection on raw materials and in-process/finished parts Maintain department and all inspection records Collect samples per appropriate AQL Conduct visual and mechanical tests on component parts Provide technical assistance to production personnel as required Maintain calibration program as required for all gages, pins, fixtures and associated tools Responsible for first piece sign off documents, in-process quality documents and finished product inspections and documentation Records tests results Provide feedback to supervisor, set-up personnel and operators and department managers Make recommendations for resolving quality issues Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

A minimum of 3-5 years work experience in quality control or inspection in a metal machining environment Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment Proven experience and ability to use basic QA measuring equipment and measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, hardness testing and shadow graphs Sound math skills Solid knowledge of metals and metal working Prior machining experience a plus Good communication skills, both written and verbal Able to maintain high degree of mental focus and strict attention to detail Must read, write, and speak English and know how to read engineering drawings Able to pass pre-employment screenings
