About this Role The Mold Setter Technician position is an important role on the Silgan Dispensing team and is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. Our plant help produce thousands of our dispensing products each day. So, it's important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. The Mold Setter Technician keeps our equipment operational by setting up, optimizing production runs and performing quality checks as needed for each machine. Here's a list of duties that our Mold Setter Technician performs on a typical day:

• Maintaining quality standards and efficient.
• Performing duties including the setup, optimizing, cleaning, and preventative maintenance of molds and machines in operation.
• Responding to and correcting injection molding machines which have stopped producing
• Ability to break problems down to recognize cause and effect are essential to this position
• Documenting production process and related quality assurance data
• Troubleshooting and correcting quality, process, machine, and mold failures
• Performing troubleshooting of support equipment
• Other duties as assigned Qualified Candidates must have:
• Min of High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical School Certificate is a plus but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Mold Technical experience is required.
• Knowledge of polypropylene, polyethylene and acetyl resins
• Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance programs
• 3-5 years direct hands-on work experience is essential
• Ability to prioritize work is essential
• Good verbal & written communication skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Preferred Candidates will have:
• Willingness to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs.
• Ability to work independently and be proactive.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and report data.
• Ability to prioritize work is essential.
