This position is ideal for an individual with strong computer skills who is interested in learning about manufacturing quality systems, hands-on quality checks and understanding customer quality requirements. The Quality Technician will play a key role by performing measurements, recording data, assisting with customer requests and documentation, learning about quality records and customer requirements and assisting with various quality system functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities Assist Quality department with day-to-day requirements. Learn to use various measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers. Enter, organize, and maintain quality records in electronic databases, spreadsheets, and ERP systems. Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other software applications to support quality-related activities. Hardness testing of parts Perform precision measurements of balls for automotive industry requirements. Record and maintain accurate measurement data and related documentation. Assist supervisor with the company's calibration program by tracking calibration schedules, maintaining records, and verifying equipment status. Assist with customer requests for quality-related documentation and product certifications. Generate reports and compile data to support departmental objectives and customer requirements as needed. Assist with quality management system activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in support of a high-volume Quality Department. Work closely with Production, Engineering, shipping and Customer Service teams to ensure timely completion of quality-related requirements and documentation. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Ability to work accurately with numerical data and measurements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment. Experience with ERP systems, databases, or quality management software. A keen interest in learning manufacturing quality systems, measuring, calibration programs, and customer quality requirements. Exposure to
ISO 9001, IATF
