GED Full Job Description Role:
Quality Technician Location:
Valley City, Ohio (On-Site)
Shift:
1st
Shift Pay Rate:
Up to $25/hour
Key Responsibilities Inspections & Approvals:
Inspect and approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods by conducting visual and measurement tests against specifications.
Documentation & Tracking:
Record quality results on logs, process FIRs, routers, rework tags, and nonconforming material documentation.
Gage & Lab Equipment:
Set up laboratory equipment, calibrate test instruments, perform Gage R&R studies, maintain the Gage Trak database, and coordinate outside vendor calibrations.
Quality Systems:
Work within
ISO 9001
procedures and Standardized Work Instructions while communicating quality concerns to engineers, supervisors, and management.
Safety & Environment:
Maintain a clean, safe work workspace, comply with regulations, and safely lift/transport products and measurement gear.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and understand blueprints, tolerances, technical manuals, and specifications.
Software & Systems:
Proficiency in Gage Trak (or similar gage tracking databases), FIRs, and the Router system preferred.
Standards:
Working knowledge of applicable aspects of the
ISO 9001
Quality Management System.
