We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our Quality Department. This role will primarily focus on incoming inspections and internal inspections to ensure products and components meet established quality standards before reaching production and customers. Position Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, components, and internally manufactured or assembled products to ensure conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with inspection tools, and capable of interpreting technical documentation. Key Responsibilities Perform incoming inspections of purchased materials, components, and assemblies. Conduct in-process inspections of manufactured and assembled products. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Verify dimensions and product characteristics using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and other inspection equipment. Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records. Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials and products. Work closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality personnel to resolve quality issues. Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection and measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspections throughout the workday. Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds. Ability to safely operate inspection tools and handling equipment as required.
