Position Description Position Title:

X-RAY/XRF

Operator Overall Responsibility:

Responsible for inspecting customers' electronic components to ensure that they meet the customer's quality requirements. Once they perform the required XRay/XRF, they then use the

X-RAY/XRF

results to assess the product and produce a report outlining their findings and recommendations

Duties:

Performs detailed inspections and verifies production articles based on comparisons to representative samples and recognized industry standards. Uses appropriate measurement tools, instruments, gages and meters as required to measure and verify quality characteristics identified in inspection instructions, drawings, processes and related documentation. Verifying electrical component's identity and reviewing PO before beginning x-ray procedures. Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of components per PO or Job Card. Ensuring that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures. Working closely with the Operations Manager to determine whether further tests are required. Ensuring that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order. Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment. Maintaining an accurate record of completed x-rays and procedures. Work from schematics and engineering documentation. Takes all necessary and appropriate Tinning pictures of the inspected parts.

Uses these as a reference in developing an inspection report. Develops and issues a report regarding the findings of the inspection conducted. This is then turned over to Quality Control for review and release. Corrects any mistakes that are discovered by other test departments, Quality Control or Shipping regarding testing, reporting or part accountability. Interfaces with other departments that conduct technical test issues on the parts inspected to ensure their cooperation and compliance. Cleans and maintains test equipment and instruments to ensure proper functioning. Develops and helps to implement ideas through the Global ETS Continuous improvement process. Performs other duties as directed by the department manager

Financial Responsibility:

Is responsible to ensure that any damage to customer parts is minimalized. Handles all equipment and tooling with care to prevent damage or unnecessary repairs.

Contacts:

Involves contact with individuals inside the company where the nature of the information provided usually follows an established pattern.

Judgment and Decision Making:

Must understand the testing requirements of the clients and the procedures that control the testing and reporting efforts. If there are any questions or uncertainties, these are directed to the manager for clarification Work is performed under direct supervision.

Supervisory Responsibility:

No supervisory responsibility.
