Job Summary:
As a Cable Inspection Specialist, working under (IPC-620 Standards) youll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our cable products. Youll use your expertise to inspect cables, identify non-conformances, and work with our team to resolve quality issues. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment will make you a valuable asset to our organization. Job Description
Join Our Team:
Were seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Inspector to join our team on 1st shift (5:00 AM-3:30 PM, Mon-Thurs with OT opportunities on weekends). As a contractor with our company, youll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Inspect cables using predetermined methods, operations, and IPC-620 specifications Use various measuring devices, such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures Communicate effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues Perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas as needed
Requirements Skills & Experience Standards:
Must be a Us Citizen or US Permanent Resident Experience with soldered and crimp inspection on cables using
IPC-A-620
standards Detail-oriented and proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, and work instructions Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interface with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management Proficient with Personal Computers and newer applications No degree required Must be able to read and write English Required
  • Wire harness Print Reading Required
  • Visual Inspection
  • a color vision test may be given
IPC-WHMA-A-620
Certification Not Required (experience working with this Standard) Must take and pass a medical screening exam
