Qualifying Questions:
Are you a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) as defined under ITAR regulations? Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role? Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?
Summary:
Uses predetermined methods, inspection operations and prescribed specifications to visually inspect solder and conformal coating of circuit card assemblies. Performs inspection in accordance with IPC-A-610 and
IPC-J-STD-001
requirements. Uses drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists to guide inspection operations. Uses various measuring devices including dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales. Inspects solder connections of both surface mount and plated through hole components. Navigates within IPC standards and deciphers accept or reject criteria. Interprets drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions. Identifies non-conformances per applicable documentation and specifications. Uses personal computers for inspection documentation and record keeping. Communicates quality defects to all levels of operations.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR). Minimum 2 years prior experience visually inspecting solder connections of both surface mount and plated through hole components in accordance with IPC-A-610 and
IPC-J-STD-001
requirements. Ability to navigate within IPC standard and decipher accept or reject criteria. Detail-oriented and proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions. Proficient with personal computers. Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface effectively and diplomatically with all levels of operations when communicating quality defects. Experience with process instructions and inspection checklists. Experience using measuring devices including dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales. Knowledge of manufacturing and industry specifications including IPC and related reference documents and standards.
