Job Description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Quality Control Body Repair Tech II to inspect and repair vehicle bodywork within our remarketing operations. In this role, you'll evaluate collision and cosmetic damage, perform advanced body and paint repairs, and ensure all work meets Cox Automotive and OEM quality standards. You'll document findings, collaborate closely with technicians and supervisors, and help optimize repair workflows. This position supports a safe, efficient shop environment and contributes to reliable, retail-ready vehicles for our dealer and commercial clients. Responsibilities Inspect vehicle body and paint work for collision and cosmetic defects Perform intermediate to advanced body, frame, and cosmetic repairs Match and refinish paint to OEM and Cox quality standards Document repair findings, estimates, and completed work in systems Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to prioritize repair workflow Adhere to safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations in the shop Verify completed repairs meet quality and customer requirements Assist in process improvements to increase throughput and quality Operate and maintain body shop tools, equipment, and materials Support training and mentoring of junior body repair technicians Required Skills Automotive body repair Collision damage assessment Refinishing and paint matching Dent and scratch repair Use of body shop tools and equipment OEM and industry repair standards Quality control inspection Work order and repair documentation Safety and OSHA compliance Time and workflow management
