Quality Control Inspector - Manufacturing
Job Description
Job Title:
Quality Control Inspector 2 Perform inspection activities with some supervision, using sound judgment to determine product conformity. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, detailed work instructions, inspection plans, and process documentation. Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, applicable quality standards, and customer requirements. Perform visual inspection using the unaided eye, magnifier lamp, or optical microscope. Perform mechanical and dimensional inspection using calibrated measuring equipment, including calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and other applicable inspection tools. Maintain a demanding level of quality when inspecting machined parts for final finish prior to and during plating processes. Identify nonconforming product, segregate material as required, document discrepancies, and communicate quality issues to appropriate personnel. Complete and maintain accurate inspection records, reports, lot traceability, certifications, and other quality documentation in accordance with company procedures. Enter information into company networks and databases; scan documentation, upload photographs, and program equipment as required. Work effectively with upstream and downstream operations, including Engineering, Machining, Deburr, and Masking. Follow applicable Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and customer-specific requirements. Follow all safety rules and practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of visual inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to interpret and apply GD&T, dimensional tolerances, surface finish requirements, and other drawing specifications. Demonstrated ability to perform visual and dimensional inspection using appropriate inspection equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills and ability to work with company databases and electronic documentation. Desired Traits Strong attention to detail.
