Job Description
Daniel Defense seeks a detail-oriented Metrology Technician 1 to join our Quality Assurance & Testing department. This role focuses on ensuring the precision and accuracy of our firearms and accessories through meticulous measurement and analysis. The ideal candidate will support manufacturing processes by conducting dimensional and mechanical inspections, calibrating measuring equipment, and maintaining quality assurance documentation. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of metrology tools, and a commitment to upholding the high standards of product quality that Daniel Defense is known for. Responsibilities Perform detailed measurements of components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools Calibrate and maintain metrology equipment and tools to ensure accuracy Record and analyze data to support manufacturing and quality assurance Collaborate with production teams to identify and rectify quality issues Assist in developing and implementing quality control techniques Prepare detailed reports based on findings and inspections Required Skills Proficiency in using metrology instruments like calipers, micrometers, and CMMStrong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Proficient in data analysis and report writing Excellent communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality assurance protocols
