We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a Full-Time Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team in McDonough, GA. The individual will be trained & ultimately responsible for the following: Field & Lab testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, GDOT, and project specifications. Communication of field and laboratory testing results with CMS and Geotechnical Project Management staff.
Qualifications:
(Work Based Learning) High school diploma / GED required; Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language, required Ability to routinely lift 40 to 50 lbs. (field/laboratory samples and equipment), required Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (Company will provide Personal Protective Equipment and inclement weather gear, as appropriate) Ability to work and maneuver equipment (such as a loaded wheelbarrow) over uneven ground & around active construction sites Willingness to travel out-of-town (Full Time Employee Only) (typically overnight) for short assignments You will be trained and ultimately certified in the following: American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Technician Level I ACI Strength Testing Technician Laboratory Testing Masonry Field Testing Aggregate Testing NICET Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils) International Code Council (ICC) Special Inspection GDOT Certifications in the fields of Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete. Pay rate is based on level of experience and active certifications. CMS offers a Credential Incentive Program to assist employees in obtaining additional certifications. This is a Full-Time position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy, and Reference check program.
