We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join the Jerome, Idaho West team. (Nights) 0500pm-0500am.
Pay:
$24.24 per hour USD + $1.50
Night Shift Differential Shift:
Rotational Night Shift, 5:00pm-5:00am; Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday one week and Wednesday, Thursday the opposite week The Quality Technician is responsible for performing departmental analytical and clerical work in support of the plant's Quality function, including conducting lab tests, preparing samples for shipment, and responding to internal calls. Ideal candidates will have 1 - 2 years of prior laboratory experience, preferably in a food-grade manufacturing facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct quality checks online and communicate results to production. Document results, audits, and test results accurately Aid in the communication and training of plant policies and programs. Conduct and interpret lab tests. Package and prepare samples for shipment tothird-partyy testing locations. Respond to internal calls to answer technical product questions. Perform laboratory computations to produce accurate data reports. Troubleshoot lab issues. Conduct routine maintenance on all lab equipment. Contact lab supply vendors. Assist with the inventory control process. Ensure all laboratory chemical SDSs/MSDSs are reviewed and filed. Read and properly interpret documents such as lab results, GMP manuals, HACCP programs,s and procedure manuals. Solve practical problems and handle high-pressure situations with ease. Possess the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral forms. Complete routine clerical work such as filing, checking, and entering required information into the computer system. Follow plant and laboratory GMPs to maintain a clean work area. Advise operations associates to ensure GMPs are followed in the plant. Perform environmental and product testing and communicate results to the plant and corporate management groups as needed. Send timely "Out of Specification" (OOS) notices as needed to internal and appropriate corporate management We are committed to identifying and recruiting dedicated, reliable candidates to join our team of passionate employees.
