Job Title:
Quality Assurance Technician Job Description The Quality Assurance Technician supports product quality and regulatory compliance by performing mechanical and visual tests, documenting results, and communicating findings to the production and quality teams. This role works in a fragrance-free laboratory with regular exposure to the manufacturing floor. Responsibilities Perform product testing (mechanical, leak, tensile, color, and visual inspections). Measure products and packaging to ensure quality standards are met. Identify, document, and communicate defects. Collect production samples and complete testing/documentation. FollowISO 9001
procedures, safety requirements, and PPE guidelines. Essential Skills Experience with testing, inspection, and measurement tools. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to distinguish colors and identify defects. Comfortable working in a lab/manufacturing environment. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and wear required PPE. Able to follow quality procedures in an ISO-regulated environment. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing, QC/QA, GMP, or laboratory experience preferred. Degree or relevant hands-on experience accepted. Strong communication and multitasking skills. Interest in career growth and advancement opportunities. Work Environment The role is primarily based in a quality assurance laboratory that is connected to the manufacturing area, offering both lab work and some exposure to production operations. The lab operates underISO 9001
standards and supports GMP and regulated healthcare markets, including medical device, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and life sciences industries. The environment is fragrance-free, and phones are not allowed in the lab to maintain cleanliness, focus, and compliance. Technicians frequently go onto the manufacturing floor to collect samples, often at least every few minutes, and then remain with each sample from start to finish through testing and documentation. The work involves walking and standing for most of the day. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel-toed shoes that employees purchase, with a reimbursement program available upon conversion. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.10 - $23.10/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
