AS9100 and ITAR registered company Job Description EDMIS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate customer specifications and applicable standards into comprehensive production documentation Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection plans, checklists, and control charts alongside Engineering Perform root cause analysis of quality issues, identify corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and implement effective solutions Conduct internal audits of all departments to assess compliance with QMS requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) Develop and maintain audit schedules and reports, document findings and corrective actions Maintain and update QMS documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, engineering, purchasing) to drive continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency while maintaining a culture of quality throughout the organization. Support the preparation for and participation in external audits conducted by regulatory bodies or customers Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and identify trends to proactively address potential issues Investigate customer complaints, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer specifications Train production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or an associate degree preferred 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on quality assurance and compliance. Proven experience with inspection tools (Micrometers, comparators, etc.) Proven experience supporting internal and/or external audits. In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards. Strong understanding and practical application of 6 Sigma methodologies Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bonus Skills:
Knowledge of optical inspection equipment
