Job Description

Schedule Part-time Onsite 1st
Shift:
Between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Opportunity to transition into full-time based on performance and business needs Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician / Assistant to support our quality assurance processes and ensure products meet company and industry standards. This role is ideal for someone with strong inspection skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. This role involves maintaining the Quality Management System, performing inspections, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities Perform quality inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished products Maintain and support the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) Complete documentation, recordkeeping, and document control Assist with calibrations and equipment maintenance Identify defects and support root cause analysis Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Work closely with production to resolve quality issues Ensure compliance with company standards and safety procedures Qualifications High school diploma or GED Must be able to speak, read, and understand English Valid Illinois driver's license required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Skills & Requirements Knowledge of
ISO 9001
2015 standards Familiarity with
ASTM / ASME
standards (fastener or manufacturing industry preferred) Experience using inspection tools: Calipers, Micrometers, Radius gauges,Optical comparator (CMM/Keyence a plus) Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and raw materials Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong communication skills (email, phone, in-person) Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Ability to handle confidential information professionally
